Aero App 1.2502.1106 has passed testing on iOS 18.6.2. iPads running a previous version of iOS can be updated to the latest iOS 18.6.2. A new hotfix (version 1.2502.1106) for the Aero App for Android is now available for download. This update addresses a map-freezing issue affecting certain Samsung devices, including Galaxy Tab Active tablets running Android OS 14. If you’ve already updated to Android OS 14, please note this is a known OS-level issue. The recommended resolution is to upgrade to Android OS 15. If upgrading isn’t an option, we strongly advise updating the Aero App to the latest versions as they become available – starting with this hotfix. Click here to be directed to Downloads.

NGA released the 1501 notification regarding sunsetting its hardcopy print enterprise. This includes all FLIP paper products, FLIP DVDs, E-IPL DVDs, and the Aero App DVD.
Customers can provide feedback with the following information, preferably staffed to the highest level possible in their chain-of-command, including:

1. Detailed justification, including anticipated mission impacts, why electronic-only access to FLIP (including tablet-based Electronic Flight Bags/Electronic Knee Boards) would be insufficient;
2. Projected timeline for continued hardcopy requirements;
3. Specific products still required in hardcopy format;
4. Proposed mitigations that could facilitate transition from hardcopy to electronic FLIP

In response to Maxar’s transition from GEGD APIs (evwhs.digitalglobe.com) to new GEGD Pro robust APIs, designed to enhance access and discovery of Unclassified Commercial Geospatial-Intelligence, Aero App’s Maxar imagery feature will no longer work on versions older than 1.2506 (available July 2025). NGA is planning to transition the Aero App DVD from a single layer DVD to a double layer DVD as early as AIRAC Cycle 2509. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via email at AeroDistro@nga.mil
