2025-10-30: GIANT Reports

The most current GIANT Reports with an effective date of 29 October 2025 is now available on download.aeroapp.info.

2025-10-20: Aero App Android Data API

The Aero App Android Data API provides an interface for accessing aeronautical data. Sample code and related API documentation can be found on ACES 2.0. Refer to the Knowledge Base for more information.

2025-10-16: 1.2502 Aero App for iOS has passed testing on iOS 18.7.1 and iOS 26.0.1

Aero App 1.2502 has passed testing on iOS 18.7.1 and iOS 26.0.1. iPads running a previous version of iOS can be updated to the latest iOS 18.7. Click here for instructions on how to install the latest iOS update. Click here to view to the operating system compatibility list with the latest versions of Aero App and Aero Data Server (ADS). Alternatively, users may visit the Support Knowledge Base to view the available resources.

2025-10-10: macOS Compatibility and ADS Support

The current version of macOS, macOS 26 (Tahoe), supports a very limited selection of Apple computers released prior to 2020. Apple’s next release, macOS 27, will no longer support any of these models. As a result of this discontinued support, ADS support for older Apple computers will be limited. To ensure continued compatibility, we strongly recommend upgrading to an Apple computer with Apple Silicon, such as those with M-series processors. 2025-06-13: Sunset of Hard Copy Enterprise

NGA released the 1501 notification regarding sunsetting its hardcopy print enterprise. This includes all FLIP paper products, FLIP DVDs, E-IPL DVDs, and the Aero App DVD.
Customers can provide feedback with the following information, preferably staffed to the highest level possible in their chain-of-command, including:

Detailed justification, including anticipated mission impacts, why electronic-only access to FLIP (including tablet-based Electronic Flight Bags/Electronic Knee Boards) would be insufficient;
Projected timeline for continued hardcopy requirements;
Specific products still required in hardcopy format;
Proposed mitigations that could facilitate transition from hardcopy to electronic FLIP

2025-06-02: Maxar Update

In response to Maxar’s transition from GEGD APIs (evwhs.digitalglobe.com) to new GEGD Pro robust APIs, designed to enhance access and discovery of Unclassified Commercial Geospatial-Intelligence, Aero App’s Maxar imagery feature will no longer work on versions older than 1.2506 (available July 2025).
